As Development Coordinator for United Way of the Greater Capital Region, Vanessa Granato works with the Resource Development team – planning events, managing the donor acknowledgment process, and acting as the regional SEFA coordinator.
Vanessa came to United Way during her senior year at Siena University, where she interned with the Communications Department. After graduating Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Communications-Journalism, she joined the team full-time in June of 2025.
Vanessa has always been an avid believer in helping others, and she knew that she wanted to work for an organization that aligned with her morals and values – and United Way’s mission stood out to her.
Outside of work, Vanessa enjoys theater, reading, and spending time with her loved ones. She lives in her hometown of Latham.
