Women United of United Way of the Greater Capital Region is serving as the convener for a special WEEK-LONG virtual event series for International Women's Day, March 8-12, 2021. All women-led networking organizations in the Capital Region are encouraged to participate. Together, we will honor women's equality and provide opportunities to be involved.
March 11, 2021 - Emerging Leaders United Interest Meeting
Jeff Buell, Redburn Development and 2019 Philanthropist of the Year finalist will join our Emerging Leaders on Thursday, March 11 at 6 p.m. at the final Emerging Leaders United Interest Meeting to talk about his philanthropic initiative “Do the Next Good Thing” and how young leaders can get started giving back!
March 18, 2021 - Financial Wellness Workshop with KeyBank: Home Buying and Refinancing
Join representatives from KeyBank on Thursday, March 18 at 1 p.m. to review the ins and outs of purchasing a home or refinancing your home. The discussion will focus on determining a budget and why building equity in your home is important.
KeyBank’s Mortgage Loan Officers will be available to answer any questions.
5.18 Day Community Celebration

UWGCR hosts 5.18 Day, the single largest day of community impact, this year coming to you as a virtual event. Local businesses, groups and individuals will assist over 45 local agencies complete service projects. Get involved in the day by taking part in a service project or one of our community sessions.

Women United Perfect Pitch

This event offers a group of nonprofit agencies the chance to earn funding in a Shark Tank-style event. The agency with the "Perfect Pitch" will be selected by a panel of community members, the winner will recieve a $10,000 grant form United Way of the Greater Capital Region.
