United Way of the Greater Capital Region Welcomes Trishna Doroski as Director of Strategic Communications and Community Engagement
United Way of the Greater Capital Region (UWGCR) is excited to welcome award-winning storyteller, Trishna Doroski, as its newest Director of Strategic Communications and Community Engagement. In this role, Trishna will lead the Communications Department in highlighting important initiatives, sharing compelling stories that showcase UWGCR’s crucial role in sustaining various programs that help create healthier communities, more youth opportunities, and strengthen financial security for all people throughout the Capital Region.
Trishna will also lead the effort to develop a dynamic volunteer experience at UWGCR through fostering local partnerships and engaging community members with meaningful volunteer opportunities that create more resilient communities. As an Emmy Award winning storyteller Trishna will spotlight community leaders, identify impactful programs and highlight initiatives that drive change and motivate and inspire volunteers and community leaders to action.

Trishna is a two-time Emmy Award winner and Regional Edward R. Murrow recipient. She was formerly an anchor and reporter for Albany’s ABC and Fox affiliate. Trishna received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Georgia.
