Request for Proposals from United Way of the Greater Capital Region for its 2021 Respond and Recover Grant Awards

One-Year, Unrestricted Funding Available for Capital Region Nonprofit Organizations Focusing on Health, Education, and/or Financial Inclusion

United Way of the Greater Capital Region is pleased to announce the first phase of its Respond, Recover, Reimagine, Rebuild community impact agenda to launch in 2021, which focuses on the ways COVID-19 has intensified long-existing injustices and inequities. The updated impact agenda prioritizes cross-sectoral, collaborative community efforts, including partnerships that leverage research and community wisdom to create informed and innovative approaches with measurable outcomes.

All nonprofit 501(c)(3) agencies and community organizations that include a focus on health, education, and/or financial inclusion that service the seven county area of the Greater Capital Region (Albany, Columbia, Greene, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie) are invited to apply for funding, subject to meeting general United Way requirements.

Respond and Recover Grants are one-year, unrestricted grant awards and prioritize funding for organizations and programming that address urgent needs and/or challenge systemic inequities of those most disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
