Heather-Liz Meglino joins United Way of the Greater Capital Region with almost a decade of development experience. She has worked with many nonprofits in the region, including Empire State Youth Orchestra, Special Olympics New York, Albany Law School, and Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region. She brings a passion for building relationships and supporting her community to help further the work of United Way.

She serves on the Capital Region Chamber’s Women’s Business Council as the Vice Chair of the Engagement Committee and is a Past-President of the Capital Alliance of Young Professionals.

Outside of work, Heather-Liz is deeply involved in the Capital Region theatre scene, both onstage and behind the scenes. She has served on the Board of Directors of SLOC Musical Theater since June of 2022 and as Associate Artistic Director since fall of 2025. She has also taken on the task of chairing the company’s centennial season in 2026-2027.

Heather-Liz is received her BA in Theatre Arts (Directing) from Marymount Manhattan College, and her MA in Theatre History & Criticism from the Catholic University of America.

She is a Capital Region native who now lives in Waterford with her husband, daughter, and cat.
