Carm Basile served on the United Way board for more than a decade, joining in 2012. His leadership and dedication helped shape the organization and strengthen the community. He was named board chair in 2019 and led the organization for four years, including during the unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Basile was one of the Capital Region’s top business leaders. He enjoyed a long and distinguished career as the Chief Executive Officer for the Capital District Transportation Authority. Under Basile’s leadership, CDTA was transformed into a regional icon and mobility provider, connecting people and communities. Upon retirement from CDTA, Basile joined Park Strategies as a Senior Advisor.
