Literacy Development and Childhood Nutrition
Every child deserves the chance to read, learn and succeed. Strong literacy and social skills can unlock a world of potential. We partner with local organizations to help our youngest community members get ready for school, thrive in the classroom, and build strong skills at every age.
Our Summer Meals Collaborative makes sure when kids are out of school, they have access to healthy and nutritious meals. Summer Meals provides free meals throughout our nine-county region to children and teens, while at the same time providing a multitude of enrichment activities for families to enjoy.
When kids have nutritious meals and read at or above grade level, they are more likely to graduate, pursue higher education and thrive in adulthood.
