A Capital Region native with a flair for creativity, Sarah Sheehan has been telling the United Way story for over a decade—literally. A graduate of The College of Saint Rose with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sarah grew up surrounded by cameras, lights, and scripts thanks to her parents’ business, Sheehan Productions. It’s no surprise she found her passion in bringing stories to life.
Sarah began her journey with United Way of the Greater Capital Region as an intern and, in 2025, celebrated ten years of bringing its mission to life. As Communications Manager, she designs everything from eye-catching graphics to persuasive materials that help share the impact of United Way’s work across the region.
Known for her quick wit and team spirit, Sarah is the go-to person for both creative ideas and good laughs. When she’s not behind a computer or brainstorming campaigns, you can find her playing softball, exploring the outdoors, or—despite her disdain for winter—snowboarding her way through it.
Sarah lives in Rensselaer with her two cats, who tolerate her love of late-night design sessions and spontaneous dance breaks.
