Tax Preparation

United Way of the Greater Capital Region is committed to helping working families keep more of their hard-earned income. Our goal is to help local individuals and families meet their basic needs and achieve long term financial stability. United Way accomplishes this through its CA$H Coalition of community partners. Last year, the CA$H Coalition's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program helped return $12.9 million in tax credits and savings to Capital Region families. Learn more about this year's VITA program and find a tax preparation site near you.

Give Help and Hope

In times of economic uncertainty, it is important to remember those in our community who need help - many for the first time ever. United, we can inspire hope and create opportunities for a better tomorrow. United Way of the Greater Capital Region is committed to meeting essential needs, promoting financial stability, and strengthening individuals and families. Last year, we touched more than 86,000 lives. Please give, advocate and volunteer on behalf of our friends and neighbors across the greater Capital Region.

Survey Shows Need and Opportunity
