Your local United Way funds agencies that help prepare kids for school, ensure neighbors in need have food and shelter and aid individuals/families in becoming financially secure and self- reliant.
Our network of 50+ agencies are helping individuals and familes each day with short-term problems and long-term solutions.
In 2019, we are working on:
Working with Capital Region BOCES on United2Read to set a community-wide goal of every 3rd grader at or exceeding grade level reading;
Developing plans for a one-of-a-kind non-profit center anchored by United Way that will empower local non-profits to better focus on their mission.
