United Way creates opportunities for a better life for everyone in our community by helping people meet their BASIC NEEDS, gain a quality EDUCATION, earn a stable INCOME and maintain good HEALTH. These are the building blocks for a good life and a strong Capital Region. To achieve the greatest positive impact in people lives and community conditions, United Way leads initiatives that find solutions to some of the most stubborn social issues affecting individuals and families. Our United Against Hunger Initiative makes sure Capital Region families have consistent access to affordable and nutritious food.

Our Family and Neighborhood Resource Centers serve as one-stop locations where families have access to a network of coordinated services for healing, growth and resilience.

Our support of the CA$H Coalition of the Greater Capital Region helps families keep more of what they earn and become financially secure.

Our 2-1-1 telephone information and referral service connects people with the resources they need to overcome life's challenges.
