Join us for the inaugural Rensselaer Runs United this fall, presented by CDPHP. Sunday, October 1st Rensselaer hosts a 5k Run/Walk, Kids Fun Run and Fall Festival to benefit the United Way’s Dial 2-1-1.

Building on its long-standing relationship with United Way, Rensselaer hopes to raise funding and awareness for a program that directly helps local residents.  Every day, someone in the Greater Capital Region needs essential services – from job training and income assistance to child care or support for an aging parent. The web of social service/ HHS providers is complex. Dial 2-1-1 makes it easy. One simple call connects residents to a trained operator who evaluates the callers’ needs, accesses a database of hundreds of agencies AND connects them to the best possible solution. United Way 2-1-1 Northeast Region covers 12 counties: Albany, Columbia, Fulton, Greene, Hamilton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Warren and Washington.

UNITED, Rensselaer, United Way and local runners can make a difference in the community.
