Ty Allan Jackson Visits the Boys & Girls Clubs of Schenectady to Speak About the Power of Reading and His New Book, The Supadupa Kid 2: Move

Ty Allan Jackson, award-winning children’s author and literacy advocate recently joined children at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Schenectady summer camp program for small group presentations on creativity, entrepreneurship, self-confidence, and the power of reading.

United Way of the Greater Capital Region provided 100 autographed copies of Ty’s newest book, The Supadupa Kid 2: Move for each child in the summer camp program to read and review in preparation of Ty’s visit.

“Like many programs, we had to quickly adapt our summer camp to safely operate this year, but our kids have proven to be resilient and were very excited for the opportunity to be some of the first to read The Supadupa Kid 2: Move,” said Shane Bargy, Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Schenectady. “Many thanks to Ty for taking the time to speak with our campers and empower them to keep thinking big and working hard even when times are challenging.”
