New York Life Presents United Way Check
The New York Life Foundation presents an $800 grant to support United Way of The Greater Capital Region. The New York Life Foundation awards approximately 138 grants annually to local United Ways nationwide to support community programming. Pictured left to right: Anthony J. Bank of America supports United Way
Rob Coolidge (left), Vice President of Commercial Banking for Bank of America, Northeast Region, presents a $10,000 corporate gift to United Way of the Greater Capital Region President and CEO Brian T. Hassett on October 6, 2011. Bank of America associates and the Bank of America Foundation continued their longstanding commitment to the community and support of United Way by raising more than $75,000 through their associate campaign in addition to the $10,000 corporate gift.
GE Family of Givers
The GE Family of Givers was presented with the Leadership in Giving award for United Way support of more than $1 million.
Golub Corp. and Price Chopper Teammates
Golub Corp. and Price Chopper Teammates was presented with the Excellence in Giving award for United Way support of more than $500,000. Receiving the award is Jerel Golub, President and Chief Operation Officer. Presenting the award is 2010 Campaign Co-Chair Margaret Messer, Director of Mobilization for the New York State Public Employees Federation. Margaret co-chaired the 2010 Campain with Jerel Golub.
Bank of America
Bank of America was presented with the Campaign of Distinction award for using outstanding creative techniques to engage employees and to have fun while doing good for the community. Receiving the award are Jennifer MacPhee, Market President, and Rob Coolidge, Vice President, Commercial Banking.
Environment One
Environment One was presented with the Community Impact Award, for extraordinary contributions to United Way's Community Care Fund. Receiving the award are (left to right) Robin Kane, Human Resources Administrator, and Kelley McCart, Director of Human Resources.
Bobrick Washroom Equipment
Bobrick Washroom Equipment, Inc. was presented with the Special Recognition award for significantly increasing its annual total dollars raised. Receiving the award from 2010 Campaign Co-Chairs Margaret Messer and Jerel Golub is Marbeth Serencsics.
ATU Local 1391 / CDTA
ATU Local 1321 / CDTA received the Labor Appreciation award for exceptional generosity by a labor organization. Receiving the award are Steve Green, President of ATU Local 1321 and Carm Basile, CEO of the Capital District Transportation Authority.
The Bonadio Group
Amy Gurren of The Bonadio Group received the Campaign Manager of the Year award for exceptional effort and creating powerful strategies to make sure their company’s campaign is a success.

Rose and Kiernan sign agreement
John F. Murray, Jr., President & CEO for Rose and Kiernan, Inc., signs an agreement for United Way of the Greater Capital Region (UWGCR) to administer Rose and Kiernan's multi-state United Way campaign. From left to right is Katharine Doran, UWGCR board member; Terri Shippee-Kuhn, Rose and Kiernan's campaign manager; and Katherine Pelham, CEO for UWGCR. Rose and Kiernan contributed $43,853 to the 2008 Campaign and is UWGCR's 20th largest contributor. 

United Way of the Greater Capital Region could not achieve communitywide impact without its corporate supporters. Through corporate gifts and workplace campaigns, local businesses and their employees contribute thousands of dollars each year to fund needed services in our communities. Many employees also serve as volunteers, giving their time and skills to meet the needs of our communities.
