YL ONGOING INVOLVEMENT
COMMUNICATIONS & MARKETING COMMITTEE
The Communications & Marketing Committee will focus on growing and strengthening the YL brand. With support of UW staff, the committee will build a stronger social media presence via FaceBook, Twitter, LinkedIn, UnitedWayGCR.og/YoungLeaders.asp, YL enews, and where other opportunities may arise, in coordination with the brand and strategy of UWGCR. The committee will also be asked to find new marketing and communications opportunities to elevate the presence of YL. Members should be creative, detail-oriented, and willing to meet at least once a month with additional email exchanges and conference calls as appropriate.
EVENTS COMMITTEE Events are planned to connect UW YL with group volunteering opportunities, networking, and education about community issues in alignment with UW's focus on Education, Income and Health. The committee coordinates, plans and stages events collaboratively. The events committee will work cooperatively with the Communications & Marketing and Membership & Ambassadors Committees. Members should be creative, detail-oriented, and willing to meet at least once a month with additional email exchanges and conference calls as appropriate.
MEMBERSHIP & AMBASSADORS COMMITTEE The Membership & Ambassadors Committee will focus on growing and strengthening membership of YL through recruitment and retention efforts. With support of UW staff, the committee will ensure that current YL are engaged in group activities and mission, grow membership in the YL group, strengthen relationship opportunities within YL, serve as ambassadors at YL events, community events, and where appropriate. The committee will also be tasked to present new opportunities that engage current and potential members of YL. Members should be good with people, creative, detail-oriented, and able to meet at least once a month with additional email exchanges, conference calls, and ambassadorial requests as appropriate.
