FamilyWize Volunteer Opportunities
United Way of the Greater Capital Region is committed to expanding access to health services. One way United Way accomplishes this is through its partnership in the FamilyWize program, which distributes discount prescription drug cards across the community.Volunteers are invited to participate in one or several aspects of this initiative and will work directly with UWGCR Community Impact Manager Nicole Simms. Organize FamilyWize materials Assist with mailings to pharmacies and partners Deliver materials to pharmacies and agencies Follow-up with contacts Aid with researching opportunities to promote FamilyWize in the community Develop business/community relationships to raise awareness and funding Establish new networking and distribution strategies Serve as UWGCR and FamilyWize advocate; attend events, taskforce meetings
