United Way Funded Partners & Programs for 2016 - 2017

United Way leads initiatives and invests in programs that create lasting change in people's live and community conditions. The goal is to create more opportunities for more people by connecting individuals and families with the building blocks for a good life. The challenges we face can seem overwhelming when we work alone. But when we join forces and LIVE UNITED, we benefit from a larger pool of dollars, a greater depth of expertise and the power of collective action. United Way addresses the complete picture of what it takes for a person to succeed ... so lives are truly transformed. At the same time, United Way takes into account the total landscape of need across the Capital Region ... so we are all lifted up. In addition to viewing our funded programs below, you can see an alphabetized list of funded partners or view financial information including our IRS 990 forms.

United Way's focus on BASIC NEEDS services include our strategic initiatives: United Against Hunger, United Way 2-1-1 and Family and Neighborhood Resource Centers. Our community investments support programs that advance Domestic Safety, Housing Stability, and Food Security and Nutrition. United Way's focus on EDUCATION includes our investment in programs that advance Early Care and Education, and Youth Development. United Way's focus on INCOME includes leading the CA$H Coalition of the Greater Capital Region and investments in programs that advance Financial Literacy and Stability, and Workforce Development. United Way's focus on HEALTH includes investments in programs that support Independent Living for people with disabilities and seniors, and Mental Health.

United Way's Community Care Fund is the best way to do the most good with a single contribution. Each dollar goes directly to help agencies make a difference in our community.
