Do you qualify for the VITA Program?
- INCOME FOR 2023, EITHER SINGLE OR MARRIED FILING JOINTLY, SHOULD BE $ 60K OR LESS
- MUST NOT HAVE RENTAL INCOME
- MUST NOT HAVE DECLARED BANKRUPTCY IN 2023
- MUST NOT HAVE SELF-EMPLOYMENT INCOME INVOLVING INVENTORY (RIDE-SHARING EMPLOYEES GENERALLY QUALIFY)
- MUST BE A US CITIZEN, PERMANENT RESIDENT, OR RESIDENT ALIEN, OR MARRIED TO ONE.
- OTHER QUALIFICATIONS MAY APPLY DEPENDING ON RARE CIRCUMSTANCES

FILE AT A VITA SITE
VITA Tax Preparation
Appointments are required at participating locations.
Bring your tax documents to a participating site where a Volunteer Income Tax Assistant (VITA) volunteer will complete and file the return with taxpayer consent. Once taxes are complete, they will be available for pickup. All volunteers undergo a comprehensive training program and are certified by the IRS to prepare returns. Each volunteer has been trained to ensure your taxes are prepared accurately, guaranteeing you receive all the credits to which you are entitled. When completed, all returns are submitted electronically for faster refunds. VITA returns are processed using a secured software program provided directly by the IRS.
